Do you need to improve your risk assessment skills or learn the steps involved?

This online workshop will guide you through how to complete a risk assessment, identify underlying causes, implement effective risk management strategies, and meet Quality Standards.

Part 1: e-Learning – Self-paced online module, approx 45 minutes

  • Be aware of Quality Standard requirements and best practice for risk assessment
  • Know how to identify risk and the steps to take complete and document a risk assessment
  • Find out how causes are found and what types of controls (risk management) strategies to look for
  • Learn how to document a risk assessment
  • Discover how to analyse risk and determine the likelihood and severity of the risk to help with risk rating
  • Understand the decisions that need to be made after an assessment to achieve effective risk management

Part 2: Live online training via Zoom – 1.5 hours

  • Reflect on:
    • Identifying risk
    • When to do a risk assessment
  • Case study practice and instructor feedback on completing and documenting a risk assessment including causes, consequence and risk controls
  • Discussion on determining the likelihood and severity of risk
