Co-design is a process where consumers and providers work collaboratively to design and tailor services to individual preferences and circumstances. Under this approach, participants are seen and act as equal partners in designing and implementing support services.
The idea is a noble one, though the challenge for practitioners is to let go of control, truly involve stakeholders and move beyond the tokenistic to true partnership.
This workshop returns to community development roots and explores opportunities and techniques to make the co-design process a win-win for all parties.
This three–hour workshop identifies the key elements of the technique and builds practitioner skills in facilitating co–design processes with consumers.
Past participants of Co-Design have reported:
- Today gave me the opportunity to fine tune my skills and improve my knowledge base. I’m happy to leave the workshop feeling confident. I’m surprised to say I was also entertained. At no time did I find myself looking at my watch. Great presenter!
- Great and very informative content delivered in a professional, inclusive and friendly manner.
