Join seasoned professional Mark Sheldon-Stemm as he discusses how staff can implement the requirements of the new aged care act and standards.
In this 1-hour session the basis of the changes is outlined so participants can gain insights in how to meet the new requirements.
In this session, we will explore:
- The areas where assessors will require evidence the new standards are being met.
- What care/nursing/domestic/management staff need to do to demonstrate they are meeting the requirements.
- A basis for completing a gap analysis within the current service on areas that may require improvements. Including a tool that can be used to undertake the gap analysis.
- The introduction of the concept of a model of care which underpins best practice in home care.
