Join us to hear about a new initiative from Wellbeing SA called My Home Hospital (which may impact on your residents or consumers).

My Home Hospital provides treatment for a range of conditions for which in-home care is considered appropriate. My Home Hospital began service in January 2021 and has had over 100 patients admitted. It is available for eligible public patients 24 hours, 7 days a week across the Adelaide metropolitan region and, from 1 July 2021, the periurban areas of the Barossa Hills Fleurieu.

Eligible patients from across metropolitan Adelaide are now choosing to receive hospital-level care from the comfort and privacy of their own home, including residential aged care, with the rollout of the new My Home Hospital service.

My Home Hospital is available for a range of treatments, for which in-home care is considered appropriate. The service brings the care to the patient in the form of doctors, nurses, allied health, some x-rays and blood tests and medication.

The launch of My Home Hospital follows extensive co-design with hospital and community clinicians, aged care providers, potential patients and families. Since January 2021, patients have already commenced using the service, and doctors and nurse practitioners are encouraged to refer eligible patients to My Home Hospital.
