Do you know what the expected professional boundaries are for staff working directly with people and families receiving support?

This course will teach you the value of professional boundaries, step you through what this looks like, and guide you to build and maintain a balanced relationship with the people you support.

COURSE OUTCOMES:

Part 1: e-learning (self-paced module) online

  • Know what Professional Boundaries are.
  • Understand how these boundaries benefit and protect staff and the people they support.
  • Recognise when you might be working outside of Professional Boundaries.

 Part 2: Instructor Led Training via Zoom – 1 hour

  • Explore the concept of a balanced approach, and what this means for you.
  • Learn the areas where a breach or violation of Professional Boundaries commonly occur and how to avoid them.
  • Gain experience using case studies to apply these learnings.
