Target audience:

This workshop is designed for residential admissions, finance and any other staff who need a practical working knowledge of the LLLB accommodation payment regime.

It is aimed at those with limited knowledge of the system or for those wanting a refresher in its intricacies.

Participants will gain knowledge of the rules for pricing and publishing of accommodation, calculations regarding Refundable Accommodation Deposits / Contributions (RAD & RAC) and Daily Accommodation Payments / Contributions (DAP & DAC), how means testing works and its potential effects on resident co-contributions.

The session also covers the higher accommodation supplement and how to become eligible, and when and how to apply to the Aged Care Pricing Commissioner for increased maximum room prices. This session is interactive, hands on, practical and face-to-face and includes a range of fully worked examples and exercises designed to demonstrate the “how to” of the payment rules.
