Words and Music (Part 2 – Music) is a half day workshop that teaches participants how to structure and run sessions that use music and movement to engage and stimulate older clients in social support programs, day activity centres and residential care.

The workshop will cover:

  • Ideas for using music for reflection, relaxation, socialisation and stimulation
  • A range of movement exercises and simple dance activities
  • Setting poetry and reminiscences to music

Participants do not need to have completed Words and Music (Part 1 РWords) though it is recommended.  All participants receive a comprehensive handout with ideas and instructions for a range of creative music and movement based activities with older people.
