The Aged Care Act 2024 introduces a stronger rights-based framework, placing resident agreements at the centre of compliance, transparency and quality care delivery!
Residential agreements are treated as:
- Legal and regulatory safeguards for residents
- Evidence of compliance with the new Act
- A key indicator of your organisation’s governance and accountability
Regulatory drivers include:
- Aged Care Act 2024 (commenced 1 November 2025)
- Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
- Focus on dignity, choice, and informed decision-making
It is a condition of registration that you enter into a service agreement, on or before the Start Day and providers must ensure agreements clearly demonstrate:
- Informed consent
- Resident rights and protections
- Transparent pricing and services
In the webinar we will explore:
