This course will guide you to accurately identify restrictive practice and outline the legal requirements of use.


Part 1: eLearning (self-paced online module) – duration 30 minutes

  • Learn what actions or interventions are Restrictive practices that are regulated by Aged Care and NDIS legislation
  • Understand when they can be used and safety considerations

 Part 2: Instructor Led Training via Zoom – duration 1 hour

Pre-requisite: Complete Part 1 eLearning

  • Know what restrictive practice is and how to identify it
  • Learn the 4 L’s of Restrictive Practice to ensure legal requirements are met
  • Discuss case scenarios of what is and is not restrictive practice
